Thelma “Tillie” (Kattaron) Petcheny, age 93, of Masontown, Pa., passed away on Tuesday October 9, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Thelma was the last member of her immediate family. Tillie was born on Friday, November 14, 1924 in Bessemer, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of Nicholas and Estania Kattaron. Tillie was predeceased by son-in-law, Richard “Skeeter” Delgouffre; her life partner, Algie LaBraska; brothers, Jake Kattaron, Mike Kattaron, Steve “Kat” Kattaron and sisters, Mary Wilson, Ann Morabito, Rose Hoover, Kay Howard, Mildred Gotch Trivonovich and Gertie Morabito. Left to cherish her memories are her devoted children and grandchildren: Bobby Joe “BJ” Petcheny and Bernie Wesolowsky, Gerald Petcheny; grandchildren: Lea and Jerred, Elaine Rantovich and grandson Ryan Nicolas, Ed Petcheny and wife Ann and grand children EJ and Nicole and her fiancé Matt Burns, Donna Petcheny; and Grandma’s sweet Tillie Rose; nieces and nephews: Sandra and Pete Hamo, Tony Morabito and Shelia, David Howard; many great nieces and great nephews; and numerous friends. Til's life consisted of family and friendship. She loved her home, enjoyed decorating, crafting, baking, and forever keeping everyone busy with updates. Always dressed fit to kill even while working in her many flower gardens .... Dancing was her passion .... a fabulous dancer was she! “Petcheny” as she was fondly called by her many teacher / principal friends at German Township School District where she worked and loved so many for 30 years. She will be greatly missed. As our Mom would always say .... let me Thank you one last time. Tillie's children invite friends, colleagues and extended family members to a celebration of her life on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in the BAKER-TERRAVECCHIA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 71 South Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., at 11:00 a.m. with a gathering of tributes given by her dear friend PamCatalamessa. Entombment will be private in Resurrection Mausoleum at Mount Saint Macrina in Uniontown,Pa.
